Apple Crisp has to be one of my all time favourite deserts. I have tried many different kinds recipes but this has to be the best apple crisp.
It’s simple, nothing fancy about it and it’s always delicious. It almost always tastes its best when served warm with vanilla ice cream.
The BestApple Crisp
- 6 cups sliced, peeled cooking apples
- 3-4 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter
- Preheat oven to 375. In a large bowl combine apples and sugar. Transfer to 9×13" dish, set aside.
- For topping, in a medium bowl combine the oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle topping over apple mixture.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden. If desired, serve warm with ice cream.
